Whittier property values grow by 4.2%
WHITTIER — The total assessed value of all Whittier properties increased by 4.2% this past year to a total value of approximately $11 billion.
The figures were released Monday by the L.A. County Assessor.
Despite the pandemic, local cities saw increases in total assessed property values, which were attributed to sales, new home construction, and the annual inflation adjustment.
Whittier properties increased by more than $449 million from 2019 to 2020.
Whittier has 22,233 property lots within city limits; of those, 20,858 are residential or residential income properties.
