Suspect arrested in fatal shooting of Whittier 7-Eleven clerk
WHITTIER — A suspect in the killing of a Whittier 7-Eleven store clerk was arrested today after a two-week manhunt, authorities announced.
Kevin Hall, a 25-year-old resident of Apple Valley, was arrested and charged with homicide and an outstanding warrant.
His arrest came after Whittier police officers, along with members of the ATF and Los Angeles County Special Enforcement Bureau, served search warrants at two locations in Los Angeles County this morning.
Police say Hall walked into the 7-Eleven store at 8438 Santa Fe Springs Rd. in the early morning hours of Feb. 22. Hall allegedly demanded money before fatally shooting the clerk, Maninder Singh Sahi.
Sahi left behind a wife and two children, ages 5 and 9.
Hall will be arraigned Thursday at Los Angeles Superior Court – Bellflower branch. He is not eligible for bail.
