Online threat targets Rancho Starbuck Intermediate School
WHITTIER – Sheriff’s officials said they identified two students who made threats against Rancho Starbuck Intermediate School in East Whittier.
In a tweet Wednesday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the threat was “making the rounds on social media.”
“We treat all threats as serious and investigate immediately. Joke or not,” the Sheriff’s Department said. “At this time, this is an ongoing investigation; however, we will have an increased presence at the school [Thursday] to help ease any fears.”
Rancho Starbuck is an intermediate school for seventh and eighth-grade students.
